Andrew began his early career as a systems engineer for Department of Defense contractor, Northrup Grumman, in the Ship Systems Information Technology Division. During his career at Grumman, Andrew completed many certifications in computer science and attended the University of South Alabama’s adult education program where he was awarded the Comp TIA A+ Certification, Comp TIA N+ Certification, and the, Microsoft Certified System Engineer Certificate.
Mid career, Andrew, took a six-month sabbatical and traveled the United States’ west coast, meeting the locals and creating many memorable experiences. Had You Tube been invented or had Andrew not lost the tapes from his Sony Handy Cam, he may have been a You Tube star! Nights were spent in Big Sur California laying on the sand under the stars. Andrew thoroughly enjoyed the twisty Pacific Coast Hwy long before the internet made it a popular road trip among young adults. His daily activities included hiking scenic nature trails, biking along the coastline, enjoying winery’s in Carmel-by-the-Sea, or bungee jumping off rock formations.
After depleting his savings, Andrew, with the assistance of his childhood friend, Steve Howe, accepted a position as fraud investigator for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in the Division of Real Estate. With utmost integrity, Andrew, upheld the divisions values and principals.
During the mid two thousands, Andrew, decided to change carrier paths and attend business classes at Hillsborough Community College. While attending, Andrew, along with three students, and a University of South Florida professor, began a real estate investment company, inclusive of an in house general contractor, whereas, Andrew, acted as the companies Chief Executive Officer and assisted the company in obtaining the necessary licensing. Prior to dissolution, and under Andrew’s direction, the small real estate investment company redeveloped, redesigned, and sold a variety of residential and commercial properties.
After the investment company’s dissolution and during the nations downturn in real estate, Andrew Cherry, worked alongside the former company’s attorney, Stephen Hayman, assisting clients with short selling both homesteaded and non-homesteaded property. Andrew Cherry negotiated deals ranging between fifteen thousand and three million. The majority of the transactions were located in or around the Carrollwood and Lake Keystone neighborhoods of Tampa Florida.
Currently, Andrew, has employed his own dedicated support team to assist him with the representation a vast range of real estate products including large estate homes, beach front condominiums, and mixed use commercial space.
